Michael Flickinger, Chief Executive Officer
Michael joined Bizowie in 2011 and serves as the company’s CEO. Michael oversees company strategy, product development, market research, and sales. Read more.
For years, Michael has been a leading figure in the open-source software community. In 2002, he founded the Open Site Foundation, one of the internet’s first user-contributed encyclopedias, and served as the organization’s director from 2002 to 2010 before its sale to a private investor.
Michael has presented at academic and professional conferences including LibrePlanet, the Free Software Foundation’s annual conference. He resides in Indiana, PA with his wife and four children.
Michael Aquilina, Chief Operating Officer
Michael founded Bizowie in 2008 and serves as the company’s COO. Michael oversees company operations, including project management, implementation, and customer relations. Read more.
Michael’s professional software and business process experience spans a variety of private and public sector markets, including transportation, energy, retail and investment banking, government, and nonprofits.
Active in the local community, Michael serves as secretary of the Bridgeville Public Library Board of Trustees and volunteers as a troop leader for the Boy Scouts of America. Michael is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Artists and has presented at national and international software development conferences.
Sterling Hanenkamp, Vice President of Engineering
Sterling is a software architect with over 10 years of experience in development of enterprise applications and a background in systems administration. Read more.
With an eye for quality and scalability, Sterling oversees the development and maintenance of the company’s software and technical infrastructure. Sterling takes a deep dive into all that he does, including building a 20 foot whiteboard wall in his office. He has a master’s degree from Kansas State University and taught as an instructor on the faculty of his alma mater. A proud Kansan, Sterling lives there with his wife and two sons.
David Orr, Vice President of Applications
As Vice President of Applications, David is responsible for ensuring that Bizowie best leverages our top-tier technology to solve our client’s business needs, both during the implementation process and on an ongoing basis afterward. Read more.
